Dear Lucy, located on Church Street in charming Burlington, Vermont, has been a destination for shoe connoisseurs for over 20 years. I purchased the shop six years ago, because I felt that Burlington needed a little more fashion and fun in its footwear selection. Since then, I have brought in Cole Haan, Stuart Weitzman, Corso Como, Frye, Fidji and many more beautiful shoe lines. The reaction has been wonderful. We have also made the men's section larger, as I could tell they felt they were being left out! We are constantly searching for interesting, beautifully crafted footwear that is a true value.

I realized that it was hard to find everything you need in one location. Just as my staff and I have many sides to us, so do you our clientele. So whatever your mood, we have what you need; be it walking your dog or walking down the red carpet, and everything in between.

Life is stressful enough. At Dear Lucy we don't believe that shopping should be stressful. We believe it should be and can be fun. I always love it when friends bump into to each other in our store and chat and catch up on life. Customers often give each other advice on what they are trying on. We encourage that spirit of friendship and camaraderie.

Our staff takes the time to fit you properly, and to discuss your needs. Feet support the entire body and I think we forget sometimes that bad footwear can affect our posture, our mood, and our attitude. So our philosophy is quality, classic, timeless footwear.
